About Us

Built in 1951, the Elementary School is located in front of the Primary School on Main Street (Route 58) and houses Grades 3-5 and Intermediate Multiage. The Intermediate Multiage program is in its fifth year of implementation with three classrooms. Grade level classrooms break down to 7 third, 7 fourth and 7 fifth grade classes. The Elementary building shares the library and computer lab in the Primary School.

Organizations for the Primary/Elementary Schools include: a PTO shared with the Primary School, Parent Advisory Council for Special Education and Odyssey of the Mind. The schools have two adjustment counselors available to work with students, staff and parents. Report cards are issued four times per year. An active school volunteer program brings parents and interested community members into the school to work with students and teachers.

All primary/elementary schools feature playgrounds designed for age-appropriate recreation. Hot lunches are prepared in the school cafeteria and a school nurse is available to provide nursing and health care to students during school hours. The nurse also screens for vision, hearing and other physical problems as recommended by the Massachusetts Board of Education.
