Welcome to Pixels and Panoramas.
This after school program, sponsored through a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, combines the fields of Art and Science as students work in a collaborative effort to design and build a working scaled down greenhouse which they will use to test seeds that were exposed to a zero gravity environment in a recent NASA spaceflight.
The theme, Pixels & Panoramas, refers to the idea that any whole (panorama) consists of smaller parts (pixels).  How we view the world around us, part to whole or whole to part, can impact our understanding of it.
Participants in Pixels and Panoramas will have the opportunity to take part in related Art and Science projects as well as keeping a journal to record their ongoing progress.  Check back for updated information and student work samples.
