KINDERGARTEN SCHOOL CHOICE

Carver Public Schools invites Kindergarten Students from area towns to participate in the School Choice lottery for the 2012-2013 school year.  Carver Elementary School offers a full day kindergarten NAEYC accredited program. There are 6 (six) seats available for next year.  To obtain an application:  call 508-866-6160 or email: metranoa@carver.org  Deadline to apply, June 15, 2012 at Noon.

Concert Performance Admission Charge

Beginning with this Spring's band and choral concerts, there will be a small admission fee charged.  Admission will be $2 per person with a $10 family cap (age 5 and under free).  Families with student's in more than one concert will be asked to pay admission at one concert only.  Why are we charging admission?  Click for more details.



HS Student Council MASC Conference

Carver High School Student Council came away from MASC Conference (Massachusetts Association for Student Councils) this past week with two prestigious awards. First, our second annual Crusader Fest fall event received Top 10 award for best school community schoolwide event. Second, our council also earned Gold Excellence Award, which is the highest award given to those student councils for events and activities given for an entire year of excellence. Our students represented CMHS quite well during the three day conference.  Congratulations to Stephanie Bulcamino, Tyler Johnson, Ginny Pink, Sean Anderson, or Sam Reed. 




John and Abigail Adams Scholarship

Carver Middle High School has been informed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that the following students have been awarded the “John and Abigail Adams Scholarship.”  This award is based on a student’s score in the “Advanced” category in either the Mathematics or the English Language Arts section of the Grade 10 MCAS test; a score in the “Proficient” or “Advanced” category on the second subject (Math or English Language Arts); and, have a combined MCAS score on these assessments that rank in the top 25% of their school district.  The Commonwealth of Massachusetts will provide a tuition waiver for four years of undergraduate education at a Massachusetts university, state or community college.  Congratulations to Nicholas Bryden,Stephanie Bulcamino, Michelle Burns, Ryan Collins, Rebecca Contos, Andre Crawford, Joshua Cretinon, Alexandria Dolan, Casey Earner, Sean Feeley, Audrey Hildebrandt, Joshua Hooper, Melissa Jeghers, Angelica Kahler, Andrew Larracey, Andrew Lauzon, Carly Mammone, Dylan Marshall, Erin McLaughlin, Brendan Meredith, Michael Moran, Ryan Mueller, Karly Nickerson, Caitlin O’Brien, Torie O’Halloran, Kyle Piepenbrink, Brian Schindler, Mark Seaver, Alexander Silva, Andrew Somerville, Jake Spinetto, Colleen Szeto, Kevin Weldon, Matthew Welsh, Olivia Whittemore and Amanda Wood.
