Welcome to the Carver, Massachusetts, Public Schools Web site. We have established this site to inform parents, community residents and the general public about our school district. We hope that the information we provide will be useful. We would be interested in your opinion about our schools, and you can email the superintendent at sorrell@mail.carver.org
Carver Public Schools consists of five different grade level structures in three different locations within the community:
| The Erwin K. Washburn Primary
School is located in the center of town adjacent to the Governor John Carver Elementary School. The two schools are part of our elementary campus setting and provide a developmentally sound progression from a kindergarten through grade two curriculum to a grades three through five curriculum.
| The Carver Middle
School and Carver High
School are within a mile of the center of town and provide a secondary campus setting for our students. The Carver Middle School follows the middle school philosophy and serves students grades six through eight. Carver High School consists of students grades nine through twelve in a traditional senior high school setting.
| The Integrated
Preschool is located at 3
Carver Square Boulevard on the first floor of the Administration
Building. There are 2 preschool classes with a morning and afternoon session. The preschool falls under the jurisdiction of the Primary School.
| Carver Public Schools became a pre-school through twelve district on July 1, 1993 as a result of a legislative act. This allowed the town of Carver to de-regionalize from a more than thirty year relationship with the town of Plymouth. The years since de-regionalization have witnessed dramatic change as a result of unification of our elementary and secondary programs and the Education Reform Act. We have developed a viable and vibrant school district that embraces change as an opportunity to reshape our educational programs. We are committed to a long term plan of improvement embedded in our belief of continuous improvement. I hope that the information you will find on this Web site will reflect the progress we have made over the past several years and give you a sense of our vision of the future. |
