Built in 1975 and located at 85 Main Street (Route 58), the Primary School is home to Grades K-2 and Primary Multiage. The multiage program combines children of different grade levels into the same classroom setting. There are 4 (K-2) multiage classes. Other traditional grade level classrooms break down to 6 kindergarten classes, 7 first grade classes, and 7 second grade classrooms. The Primary School features a networked computer lab and library that is shared with the Elementary School.
The Y runs a before and after school program and the hours are 7:00 am until the start of school and from the end of school until 6:00 PM.
The Primary School invited people from the community to read to our students on February 29, 2008.
The Community Readers' Day was part of our Dr. Seuss' Birthday celebration, Leap into Reading! Each reader chose a favorite Dr. Seuss book to read to one of the classes at the Primary School.
